A case of Pseudomyxoma peritoneii

Abstract
Pseudomyxoma peritoneii is clinical entity, first described by Werth in 1884, in which peritoneal surface and omentum are diffusely involved with gelatinous mucinous implants and gelatinous ascites is massive. It is often associated with
mucinous
tumors of the ovary, mucocele of the appendix and carcinoma of the large bowel. This disorder was characterized by accumulation of mucinous ascites, relatively long survival period and absence of extraperitoneal metastasis.
We expected a ase of pseudomyxoma peritoneii which complicated multiple enterocutaneous fistulas in spite of operative treatment. And so, we report this case with a brief review of the literature.
